2007 Highlights

In 2007, the members of the Skeeter Owners Club experienced a good year despite some tough fishing conditions at times. During 9 tournaments, we logged in a total of 875.5 angler hours. We weighed in 34 five fish limits and averaged 33.6 fish per tournament weighing an average 71.2 pounds. Over half of the limits weighed in by Skeeter Club Members weighed more than 10 pounds, the heaviest being weighed in by Ed Riley at the April Tournament on the Potomac River. It weighed in at a whopping 19 pounds 10 ounces. Adam Bajrak posted the second biggest bag in May with an 18 pound 6 ounce sack pulled out of the Upper Bay at Havre de Grace. Other members enjoyed success with several other bags weighing better than 13 pounds being weighed in throughout the year.

Skeeter Club Members also weighed in 9 fish over 5 pounds. The biggest fish was caught by Bob Cherry on the Nanticoke River in August, and weighed in at 6 pounds 13 ounces. Adam Bajrak also caught a big fish at Havre de grace; a hog weighing in at 6 pounds 2 ounces. Seven other lunkers better than 5 pounds were weighed in throughout the year.

All in all, not a bad year for the members of the Skeeter Owners Club. The new year will start in November and will mark a new opportunity for us to compete in one of the toughest clubs in the Southern Region. We all look forward to the challenge.
